Talks my friends, welcome to my channel, if this is your first time, welcome. In this video I’ll talk about port forwarding for more than one router, I’ll assume that these two routers are on the same network. So I guess you came from my previous video that I talked about redirect ports right, and if you haven’t been, you just click here in the center of the screen and you will see the video I mean redirect ports. So assuming that you already understand the port forwarding, you’ve seen how it works, I’ll just illustrate through a new little map, how would this port forwarding, why? because I practiced this setting here, I called two routers, and I thought I was going to confuse a little head, and looking at this map I think is not so complicated because it is very simple. Is that the practice is both router number, username and password, click option to and fro, and there can be confusing a little.
This map, it illustrates a physical connection of two routers and a DVR, in this case here has a modem, but I took a picture of what would be that in practice, and in my case the router and the modem are one-piece. Take a peek there for you to see, so this map here that I did, it shows two routers connected right, looking so we have the feeling that they are connected side by side, the more they may not be one of the flip side of the other, can be a in a building another in another, can be connected via antenna right There, some using mikrotik, and then put an antenna to five kilometers from each other makes a subnet. It is very common to see in those simpler WiFi eh, sorry, Internet radio WiFi this simpler personal right, usually they put an antenna on your House you and and and extend the network of them right, and then you end up not getting a valid IP right, and anyway, that we can talk in another video.
So let’s talk here of this illustration, okay? in this illustration, the la connection of your provider, GVT, Virtua, Alive Speedy, anything of that nature right, a competent company, all right, she will arrive in your establishment, in your home and such, is going through a router, sometimes she is one-piece, if a modem WiFi provider, it is one-piece, modem and router, and then the result would be the same then she will go through a router, sometimes it’s the own router of the provider, and will go through a second, sometimes there are people who put up in the same environment, two routers.
Or not, can be another example as I said before, of two routers, and then our DVR, it will be connected to the second router, right? This is not a problem, makes a little configuration, more is not a problem, if it were possible to connect the DVR in the second router would be easier, more if this is not the case is super simple. We’re going to do so, just follow the first step of what I said in the other video, place the DVR in DHCP, it will get an IP on the router’s default, we will separate the ports we want to unleash, enters the first router and releases the doors to the DVR IP, right?
I separated by color here to be easy. Then we will enter the router that is above, okay? To find out the IP address of the router that is above, is very easy, okay? Have a command, that’s called tracert, space, the domain that you will put there can be space, uol.com.br, tracert, or any other domain. This command, it will trace the route, address to the domain that you put it there, it will start giving some jumps on the network until you find the address you searched.
He will illustrate, the access points by which he went, okay? If you don’t want to follow this command, you just enter the WAN router status that is below, the number of the gateway, the same is in the DVR, the number of WAN gateway router that is down, is the access point on the router that is on top, right? Then we will enter the router that is above, and release the same Doors, only this time instead of the DVR IP, to the IP of the router that is below, okay?
Because I’ve seen people trying to do this, release the door to the DVR’s IP on both routers, it won’t work, because the router that is on top, this network is unknown, for it does not exist, understand? So if you follow this little map, it’s going to be always right, you can save it, or make a copy of this man, and even if the network you are configuring has another pattern, can be here a range of 10.1.1.1, any other class, going to work also?
So it’s pretty simple, I’m going to do a resumidão here, gates of DVR, I’ll release the same ports on router two, and I’m going to release the same ports on Router 1, period. On router two I’ll put the IP address of the DVR, and the router and the Router 1 I’ll put the IP of the Router 2, it’s pretty simple, right? There’s no secret, okay? I looked to be as clear as possible, if I failed at any time you question there, I’ll answer as best we can, okay? If you have any other suggestions on how we can improve this small tutorial, you suggest there that we’re going to do, okay? So that’s it guys, I hope I have helped you one more time, and until the next video.
